To the Lost Valley Ranch Family,
I’m assuming many of you have been getting lots of emails from companies telling you how they are there for you during this difficult time. I’m not sure what a car rental company can do for me while we are sequestered at the ranch, but I’m glad they are thinking of me. I assume most of you were getting plenty of those emails and I didn’t want you to think we were leaving you out.
We received news last night that we would be shut down by Executive Order until April 30 extending our previous closure by two weeks. It’s tough because without guests, a guest ranch has a hard time justifying its existence. We have such a great staff this spring, which makes this even more difficult because I was excited about the opportunity for you to get to know them. But because they are stellar and have such high character, they are committed to working hard and keeping this place ready and better than ever for when we can open our doors again.
We are all staying put with lots of toilet paper, so we probably have it better than many out there. Lost Valley isn’t the worst place to isolate ourselves, but I’m looking forward to getting back to operating again.
Please take care. Make good decisions. Think of us as we often think of you.
It won’t be long, and we’ll be sharing dinners and hayrides together.
